Dear parents,

As some of you may be leaving early for Christmas vacations, and may need an indication of our December calendar,  I have drafted a preliminary calendar for December to give an outline of what will be happening and when.  More detailed information about all events will be provided nearer the time.  

Assembly/Birthday Party           Friday, December 2^nd 

Our final assembly of 2011 before the Christmas concert on December 16^th. Children will perform short songs; many will be rehearsing their songs for the Christmas concert. 

Report Cards                               Friday, December 2^nd 

First semester report cards will be sent home on Friday, December 2nd. 

Tuition Fees                                  Friday, December 2^nd 

For those who are paying semi annually, the second part is due on December 2^nd.  Invoices will be sent out by the office soon.

PTA Christmas Party                Saturday, December 3rd

The PTA’s annual Christmas party will be on Saturday, December 3^rd. Further details will be provided in due course by the PTA.  The PTA will be looking for volunteers to help set up and clear up the event, so please keep an eye out for their information and help out if you can.

Christmas Concert             Friday, December 16^{th  (Half Day)}

Each class will sing a short Christmas or winter song on this day.  Our oldest group, Dinosaur class, will be presenting a short nativity play. The performances will start at 10.00am prompt in our Assembly hall. The performances start with the Caterpillars going through classes by age group finishing with a Nativity play by Dinosaur class.  The event should take 45 minutes to an hour after which each class returns to the classroom for a potluck party. All parents are welcome to both the Christmas Concert and the pot luck party in the classrooms.  Room moms will be contacting parents nearer the time to organize pot luck dishes from the parents in each class. It is a half day and we should be finished the day by 12.00 noon.

Christmas Holiday           December 19^th –January 8th

The school will be closed December 19^th through January 8^th for the Christmas holiday. 

School resumes                           Monday, January 9^th

We will see everyone back at school on Monday, January 9^th for the second half of the school year. If you will not be returning on the 9^th of January and extending your holiday please inform your class teachers and the school office.
